The Global Law Review is an online newsletter published frequently and primarily distributed to members of the State Bar of Texas International Law Section and others interested in international law. It welcomes articles addressing the practice of international law in Texas and beyond, provided they aim to improve legal services, lawyer regulation, or the functioning of courts and the legal system.
All submissions are reviewed by the Global Law Review Editorial Team, which includes representatives from the ILS Council and other legal professionals across Texas. The acceptance of articles is at the sole discretion of the editors. Authors should direct all communications regarding submissions, reviews, or publication processes to the Articles Editor, who serves as the primary liaison between contributors and the editorial team.
While the editorial team is open to a variety of submissions covering any area with a connection to international law, the editorial team reserves the right to select and edit materials for publication. The publication of any article does not constitute an endorsement of the opinions expressed within it. Similarly, advertisements or sponsorships featured in the newsletter site should not be interpreted as endorsements of any products or services. The Global Law Review, being the publication of the non-partisan State Bar of Texas International Law Section, is politically neutral, meaning certain submissions may be rejected or subject to revisions if they promote a one-sided political position.
The Global Law Review online newsletter aims to provide valuable and up-to-date insights on international law and will serve as a platform for engaging discussion on key issues facing the international legal community. It will primarily feature concise articles on timely and compelling international legal issues (approx. 500-1,500 words), although longer, more thoroughly researched articles will be welcome.
Please submit your article by email to Articles Editor Ryan Cantu at ryan@doyleseelbach.com, and Managing Editor Maximilian Raileanu at mraileanu@aegislaw.com.
The author of an article submitted to the Global Law Review retains the individual copyright to the article; the Global Law Review owns a copyright to the collected work in which the material appears. Submission of an article grants the Global Law Review a non-exclusive license for the journal’s benefit to reproduce, sell, and otherwise distribute all or portions of the article under the author’s name, individually or as part of collective and derivative works, through any media now known or that might be created.
